Mianzi treats bamboo as a material for modern design, not a relic of village craft. Architect and industrial designer Shashank Gautam started it with Ananta Varshney, and the pieces are made with heritage artisans in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.

The range covers pendant, wall, table and floor lamps, along with mirrors, trays, storage and furniture. Per the brand, it flattens and bends bamboo with machines it adapted itself, which is how the pieces get their curved, sculptural shapes.
