Agam Choudhary and Saksham Jain from Indore founded Kyari in 2022 with a specific insight: urban Indians wanted plants for their apartments but killed them with overwatering. The self-watering planter which maintains soil moisture automatically and comes with a Water Pen to monitor when refilling is needed is the actual product. The plant is almost secondary.

The range covers ~80 plant varieties: low-light indoor plants (ideal for north-facing apartments), vastu plants, succulents & flowering options. All are shipped in eco-friendly packaging from growing facilities in Pune and Kolkata, with detailed care instructions for each variety. The planters are designed in-house, simple, modern, apartment-ready, available in multiple sizes and finishes.

Revenue grew 460% from FY23 to FY24 (₹1.75 crore to ₹9.8 crore). Available on Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, FirstCry & their own website. Appeared on Shark Tank India Season 4. Employee count has since pulled back from its peak, which is worth noting. Kyari is still a young brand finding its operational footing.

Honest note: live plant delivery is inherently tricky logistics. Packaging protects well in most cases, but transit stress on plants is real. Their customer support process for damaged deliveries is generally responsive.

Best for: first-time plant parents in urban apartments who want something that actually survives, and anyone who's killed three succulents and lost faith.
