LiLLBUD

Added on September 22, 2026

LiLLBUD started the way plenty of baby brands do, with a parent who couldn't find what he needed. Ayush Bansal was expecting his first child when he went looking for safe, age-appropriate toys and kept hitting the same gap. He built LiLLBUD with Abhishek Sharma in May 2025, both IIT Delhi, Bansal also carrying an IIM Ahmedabad MBA.

Every product in the catalogue is BIS-certified, which matters more than it sounds since uncertified toys with heavy metals are a documented problem in India. The catalogue is mapped to specific ages and milestones for the 0 to 3 window, with 200-plus SKUs now live and a ₹6 crore seed round from Zeropearl VC closed in June 2026.

Worth knowing: LiLLBUD is barely a year old, so this is an early bet on a young company rather than an established name. The BIS certification and the founders' own new-parent motivation are the real signal here, not scale.

Best for: new parents who want their child's toys BIS-certified rather than just cute, and anyone shopping for a baby gift that's actually built around a developmental stage instead of an age range on the box.
