Indian D2C health and wellness brands have multiplied fast over the last few years, from gut-health probiotics to subscription water purifiers, and the category attracts more vague wellness marketing than most. We do the opposite of listing everything. Every brand below has been personally reviewed by us; none of them are here because they filled out a form. This is not a database of every health or wellness brand claiming to be D2C. It’s a short list of seven we’ve actually verified, updated as we vet more.

Verified Indian D2C health and wellness brands

The Good Bug

Founded in 2022 by Keshav Biyani and Prabhu Karthikeyan, The Good Bug builds probiotic and synbiotic formulations for gut health, extending into women’s health, sleep, stress and metabolic support. Its sleep product is built on the Lactobacillus reuteri strain rather than melatonin. The company raised a ₹100 crore Series B led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, with continued backing from Fireside Ventures.

Bold Care

Founded in 2020 by Rajat Jadhav, Mohit Yadav and Rahul Krishnan, Bold Care works in men’s sexual health, a category most Indian brands still market around rather than name directly. The range covers clinically framed treatments alongside condoms and water-based lubricants. Ranveer Singh joined as a co-owner in 2023. The brand raised a $5 million Series A led by Nithin Kamath’s Rainmatter, with the founders of CaratLane also participating.

Man Matters

Man Matters is the men’s health platform built by Mosaic Wellness, founded in 2019 by Revant Bhate and Dhyanesh Shah. It combines diagnosis-led consultation with its own product range across hair loss, beard growth, performance and nutrition, rather than selling supplements alone. Mosaic Wellness posted ₹333 crore in revenue in FY24 across its brands and is backed by Elevation Capital and Kunal Shah among others.

Be Bodywise

Be Bodywise is Mosaic Wellness’s women’s health platform and the counterpart to Man Matters, covering hair, skin, nutrition and PCOS support through the same consultation-first model. The useful part is that it treats women’s health as a diagnostic problem with follow-up rather than a single purchase, which is still uncommon in a category dominated by one-off supplement sales.

Healthfab

Founded by Sourav Chakrabarty, Kiriti Bikram Acharjee and Satyajit Chakraborty, Healthfab makes reusable leak-proof cotton period underwear under its GoPadFree line. Each pair absorbs up to 30ml and is rated for around 50 washes, which is the actual argument against disposable pads on both cost and waste. The Assam-founded company raised a ₹20 crore Series A led by Atomic Capital.

DrinkPrime

Founded in 2016 in Bengaluru by Manas Ranjan Hota and Vijender Reddy Muthyala, DrinkPrime rents IoT-connected water purifiers on subscription from around ₹349 a month instead of selling the hardware outright, which removes the upfront cost and the servicing problem in one move. The purifiers report their own filter health back to the company. Revenue grew 54% in FY25 to ₹72.1 crore.

What’s Up Wellness

Founded by Vaibhav Makhija and Sayantani Mandal, both previously at The Man Company and Grofers, What’s Up Wellness makes nutritional gummies, starting with hair and nails and extending into stress, sleep, eye health and a kids range. The formulations are vegan and gluten-free with no artificial colours. Worth knowing: gummy-format supplements carry lower active doses than capsules, so read the label against what you actually need.

How we pick the brands on this page: we look for founders who can show a real formulation, sourcing or clinical decision behind a product, not just wellness language repeated across every listing in the category. We check funding and revenue claims against public reporting before including them, and we leave out unverified superlatives even when a brand states them on its own site. A brand doesn’t need scale to make this list. It needs to be real, and it needs to be something we would actually recommend to someone shopping for it themselves.
