Vidur Kataria and Sidhanth Madan started their F&B careers together in 2016 with Wok Me, a pan-Asian QSR chain that grew to six locations across Delhi-NCR. They had a genuine edge: years of developing signature stir-fry sauces, understanding what Indian palates wanted from Asian food and direct experience of the gap between high-end Asian restaurants and low-quality street-side Indo-Chinese. When Covid shut the restaurants in 2020, they pivoted to bottling their recipes.

MasterChow launched as a ready-to-cook brand and has since expanded to 36+ SKUs: chowmein and manchurian sauces, condiments, chilli oil (one of their strongest sellers), sticky rice, dipping sauces & instant noodles. The formulations are made in-house using fresh vegetables sourced daily from local vendors, the opposite of the preservative-heavy, artificial-flavour approach that dominates the ready-to-cook category.

The growth has been striking. Revenue grew 390% from ₹8.1 crore in FY23 to ₹40+ crore in FY24. They're targeting ₹72 crore in FY26 and ₹200 crore by FY27. Customer base grew from 100 to 10 lakh. Present on Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy and 2,500 offline outlets with plans to reach 10,000. The co-founder uploads a recipe video every Monday, entirely organic Instagram growth, zero paid ads.

The clearest signal of quality: the sauces taste like they were made by people who actually cook Asian food seriously, not by a food scientist trying to approximate the category. Asian cuisine is India's second most popular food preference. MasterChow is betting it can own the pantry side of that market.

Best for: anyone who orders Chinese or Thai takeaway more than twice a month and would rather cook it at home in 15 minutes with actual good ingredients.
