Dhruv and Udit Toshniwal are heirs to Banswara Syntex, a publicly listed textile manufacturer their grandfather founded in 1976. They could have joined the family business quietly. Instead they asked a different question: why does finding well-fitted pants in India still require a trip to a tailor or a compromise with off-the-rack sizing?

The Pant Project answers that with a genuine made-to-measure service online. You share measurements (their guides are good), choose from 250+ styles, formals, chinos, linen, wool, cargos, joggers, the Power Stretch knit range and your pants are stitched to order at their factory in Daman. Delivery is 7–10 days. Free alterations included. Return rate is in single digits, which for a custom clothing brand is exceptional.

The brand's secret is exactly what you'd expect: they have direct access to premium global-quality fabrics through the family's textile lineage. The Power Stretch knit pants are a standout — wrinkle-free, moisture-wicking, wear-anywhere comfort at ₹3,000–₹5,000. For the office, they're hard to argue with. For formal occasions, the linen and wool options punch above their price. Their own website drives 65% of revenue; they've since expanded to offline stores in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

We launched with a simple idea: combine traditional tailoring wisdom with modern technology to make pants that actually fit. Not just "they'll do" fit, but "these-were-made-for-me" fit.

We wanted to make it easy for guys to get pants that make them feel confident and comfortable, without the usual hassle of multiple store visits or complicated measurements. Today, we are a team of people who genuinely obsess over things most people never think about — like four-way stretch fabrics and expandable waistbands. We geek out over details like shirt-grippers and wrinkle resistance because we believe these small things add up to make a big difference in how you feel throughout your day.
