Apeksha Jain didn't start as a food entrepreneur. She was a French teacher who became a food blogger, and it was a trip to Villeferry, a small village in Burgundy, where she first tried an unforgettable homemade banana jam. Back in India in 2010, she recreated it in her own kitchen, added rum and cinnamon, and the Banana Rum Jam that followed became the seed for The Gourmet Jar, launched properly in 2012.
